Please JOIN US in our mission to provide highly trained Service Dogs that will help our returning veterans to become more independent,
self-confident and help them adapt to life outside the military.
These dogs are provided at NO COST to the veteran.
This year the 10-8 STRONG fundraising efforts focused on supporting:
USMC VETERAN, GABRIEL RAMIREZ
& HIS SERVICE DOG “PISTOL”
PATRIOTIC SERVICE DOG FOUNDATION was established to provide highly trained service dogs to those in need that can benefit from a service dog at no cost to the recipients, including but not limited to wounded service men and women of the United States Military Forces and first responders. Through donations solicited from the general public Patriotic Service Dog Foundation will provide support for the raising, care, and training of service dogs from puppyhood to Certification with a recipient as a "Service Dog Team". We also support the ongoing dog/recipient training as needed to ensure a mutually beneficial dog/recipient relationship.

WHY DO SERVICE DOGS COST SO MUCH?
Training a service dog and teaching their handler properly is expensive, and we take the responsibility of training service dogs very seriously. That’s why we work with a limited number of veterans and first responders each year so we can give each team the one-on-one attention they need. We invest hundreds of hours of training into each dog and hundreds more caring for them. We also invest thousands of dollars in health care, high quality dog food, treats, and training supplies into each dog. |
Here is a breakdown of what goes into the cost to provide a Certified Service Dog to a Veteran or First Responder.
Typically it requires about 16 months of training to certify a Service Dog Team. Because we believe lifetime support is so important to the success of our service dog teams, we include it at no extra cost. |
